Ortus leather goods are made by Naoyuki Komatsu from a small leather workshop in Tokyo. A dedicated craftsman, Komatsu learnt his trade from another master craftsman – Yukihiro-san, founder of revered bag maker Fugee – before launching his own workshop in 2012.
His focus is bespoke, creating exquisite, hand-finished designs that meet the exacting specifications of discerning clients. He is extremely selective about the leather he uses and is masterful in his execution; finished entirely by hand, Komatsu-san's quality of assembly, stitching and exactitude must be observed closely to be fully appreciated.
With each bespoke product usually taking more than two a years to produce, we’re very excited to offer this piece, the second piece ever made in this design, for immediate sale.
The dark brown box calf outer construction, offers just the right amount of suppleness, and will only grow softer with age. The inner section of the travel satchel, made out of a rich tobacco suede leather, will fit up to seven watches.
The perfect travel companion, this is a durable, elegant creation sure to last.
